Role description
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Technical Business Analyst – Eagle STAR / PACE with strong hands on experience in Eagle STAR and Eagle PACE to support middle office operations within an asset or investment management environment. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex investment and performance requirements into effective system solutions. You will partner closely with operations, performance teams, portfolio managers, and technical teams to drive data accuracy, reporting excellence, and system enhancements.
Responsibilities
• The role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from middle office stakeholders and translating them into clear technical specifications.
• You will prepare business and functional requirement documents, data mappings, and process flows while facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Responsibilities include supporting Eagle STAR performance, attribution, and reporting functions along with Eagle PACE data ingestion, reference data, pricing, and transaction processing.
• You will define and validate end to end data flows across Eagle modules and support system enhancements and upgrades.
• The position requires strong data analysis skills, including SQL based analysis and reconciliation between source systems and Eagle, investigation of pricing, corporate actions, positions, benchmarks, and performance discrepancies.
• You will support portfolio reconciliation, performance reporting, NAV validation, and security master management, working closely with fund accounting, performance teams, and portfolio managers, especially during month end and quarter end cycles.
• Additional responsibilities include preparing and executing test cases for SIT and UAT, coordinating testing with business users, validating performance calculations and reports, supporting production releases, and managing interactions with Eagle vendor support and internal technology teams while providing clear status updates and issue tracking.
Required Skill
• Strong hands on experience with Eagle STAR and Eagle PACE is required, along with a solid understanding of the Eagle data model.
• Candidates must have strong Oracle SQL data analysis skills and experience working within SDLC or Agile delivery environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira or ServiceNow and experience using BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or OBIEE are essential.
• The role requires strong domain knowledge in asset or investment management, middle office operations, performance measurement including time weighted returns and attribution basics, securities such as equities, fixed income, and derivatives, as well as pricing, corporate actions, and benchmark data handling.
• Candidates should have at least six years of overall experience with a minimum of four years working directly with Eagle STAR and PACE, preferably within an asset management or hedge fund environment, including experience analyzing production issues and providing gap analysis and solutions.
Desired Skill
• Exposure to FactSet or Bloomberg, knowledge of Eagle Accounting, experience with performance attribution, and hands on involvement in data migration or data transformation initiatives are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical thinking, excellent documentation skills, the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders, and the capability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines will set candidates apart.
