Technical Business Analyst

Job Title: Senior IAM Business Analyst – Identity Governance & Administration Location: Downtown Chicago/Hybrid About the Role: We are seeking a Senior IAM Business Analyst (BA) to join -Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) team. In this critical role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of user identity data across our organization. You will collaborate closely with application teams to validate user data, identify discrepancies, and strengthen our identity governance and security practices. Key Responsibilities: • Data Validation: Partner with SaaS application teams to obtain user data extracts from multiple systems. • Identity Solution Integration: Validate user data against our central identity repository using IGA tools and systems. • Discrepancy Detection & Root Cause Analysis: Identify, analyze, and investigate discrepancies, including data quality issues, provisioning errors, or system integration challenges. • Data Correction: Work with relevant teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure information accuracy. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of validation processes, corrective actions, and generate regular status reports for management. • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall identity governance practices. Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst on complex, cross-functional projects. • Proven experience in identity governance, administration, or data validation. • Familiarity with identity management tools and systems. • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security best practices. • Strong experience with SQL queries, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to understand the “big picture” and identify process improvement opportunities. • Experience with identity lifecycle processes (Joiner, Mover, Leaver) and access certification preferred. • Experience creating metrics, dashboards, and reporting on IGA initiatives. • Certifications in Identity & Access Management or Data Governance would be nice. • Experience with IGA software such as SailPoint, Okta, or Microsoft Identity Manager. Additional Skills: • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams. • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
