Technical Business Analyst

CSI Companies is seeking a Business Analyst to work with one of our top clients! Location: Philadelphia, PA or Cherry Hill, NJ Type: Mostly Remote (Only occasional onsite work) Duration: 6 - 12 month contract to hire Pay: $40 - $50/hour Job Description: Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, and support development teams through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with databases and SQL, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Prior experience in advertising or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Analysis: • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements. • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications in alignment with business goals. SDLC & Agile Support: • Partner with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements. • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives). Database & SQL: • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, analysis, and reporting. • Support data-related investigations and ensure data integrity within Postgres databases. Stakeholder Engagement: • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity. • Communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role. • Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies. • Hands-on experience with Postgres or other relational databases. • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries. • Experience creating user stories, process flows, and requirement documents. • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations. • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience in advertising technology, media, or pharmaceutical industry. • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). • Knowledge of APIs and system integrations is a plus.
