Job Title: Technical Business Analyst Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Local to Jackson, MI Position Overview • We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support complex technology initiatives within a hybrid environment based in Jackson, Michigan. This role focuses on bridging business needs and technical solutions across cloud-based and integration-driven platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong business analysis expertise along with hands-on experience supporting Azure services, system integrations, and DevOps-enabled environments. Key Responsibilities • Lead business analysis activities across complex technology initiatives, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. • Gather, document, validate, and manage business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions. • Perform detailed process analysis, workflow mapping, and gap assessments to support solution design and optimization. • Participate in functional and technical design discussions, ensuring accurate translation of requirements into technical specifications. • Create, interpret, and analyze ad-hoc reports to support operational and project decision-making. • Support escalation and resolution of project risks, issues, and system defects, providing clear documentation and actionable recommendations. • Analyze and correct system data as needed to maintain data integrity and operational continuity. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, leading discussions and guiding stakeholders through complex technical and business topics. • Work closely with development and infrastructure teams supporting solutions built on Azure App Services, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Function Apps, APIM, and related cloud components. • Assist in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using Azure Application Insights and other diagnostic tools. • Support system monitoring and performance visibility by maintaining and enhancing SolarWinds dashboards, alerts, and configurations. • Contribute to deployment planning and environment readiness across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments. • Ensure alignment with CI/CD and DevOps practices, collaborating with teams using Azure DevOps, Git, and automated pipelines. • Provide leadership, mentorship, and independent problem-solving support to project teams and stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong technical business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, documentation, process modeling, and stakeholder facilitation. • Proven ability to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements. • Hands-on understanding of Azure services, including App Services, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Function Apps, APIM, Blob Storage, and App Configuration. • Experience with Azure SQL, complex SQL queries, Synapse, Data Factory, and NoSQL concepts. • Experience using Azure Application Insights for monitoring, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis. • Working knowledge of SolarWinds for system monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis. • Understanding of modern development practices, including ASP.NET Web API, cloud-native architectures, and API-driven systems. • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. • Ability to work independently while providing guidance and technical leadership.
