Technical Business Analyst

Purpose of the Role The Business Analyst supports the Collections and Remarketing teams, including Active Collections, Recovery, Exceptions, Strategy, and Soft Collections. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining reporting, analyzing business results, and driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Quality Control • Review internally produced reports for accuracy and resolve issues as needed. • Publish reports to stakeholders in line with SLAs and requirements. • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to report accuracy and data integrity. Scope & Reporting • Collaborate with stakeholders to define report requirements, including purpose, scope, and technical specifications. • Translate requirements into final deliverables (dimensions, filters, fields, metrics, and layouts). • Maintain internal processes such as department roster history, vendor KPIs, Dialer metrics, etc. Customer Support • Assess customer requests, provide ad hoc reports, and develop recurring reports in a timely manner. • Coordinate with stakeholders and BA supervisor to prioritize deliverables. • Participate in project meetings to provide analysis, insights, and technical recommendations. Business Analysis & Consulting • Provide trend and exception analysis to business partners, identifying potential root causes and solutions. • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate redundant reporting. • Reduce manual reporting by automating via tools such as SAS, Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau. • Continuously improve report efficiency (run time, accuracy, and usability) and enhance reporting through visualizations and modern tools. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (preferred). • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Reporting Analyst, ideally within Collections, Financial Services, or a related field. • Strong knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as SAS, Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau. • Experience in root cause analysis, process improvement, and automation. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Performance Expectations • Deliver accurate reports and insights that meet or exceed stakeholder requirements. • Demonstrate continuous improvement in reporting efficiency, automation, and quality. • Act as a trusted advisor to business partners by providing actionable insights and recommendations. • Support Collections and Remarketing teams with timely, accurate, and value-driven analysis.
