Role description
Title: Technical Business Analyst/ Tester
Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid), 3 days onsite
Duration: Long-term contract
Job Details:
The consultant will lead efforts to enhance enterprise system(s)/sub-system(s) changes by performing detailed analysis, functional design, and testing activities, and support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the program Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs). The work primarily involves facilitation and leading of Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with SMEs from program and technical teams to ensure their requirements are met.
This also includes the consultant developing and executing functional test plans for change requests, defect fixes, and Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards. The work of the business analyst/ tester will also include status reporting, documenting, and maintaining as-is and to-be processes, creating and maintaining system functional documentation, and business requirements documents.
Qualifications:
• Experience in detailed analysis, development, and maintenance of business requirements, technical requirements, use cases, and design documents.
• Experience in project work in the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) arena; at least ten (10) years of experience in mapping the current state of a business process and analyzing the business process to find gaps.
• Experience in facilitating Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with project Subject Matter Experts and other technical staff.
• Experience in Oracle 11g, Oracle 19C writing and troubleshooting SQL code to design back-end queries for data set-up and verification.
• Experience performing system test duties; writing scripts, executing scripts, creating test cases and test data, reviewing test results; also assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and BI reports in the Power BI Platform.
• Experience with Figma, Microsoft Visio.
• Experience with Service Now, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and qTest.
