Role description
In accordance with client requirements, candidates must be eligible and willing to work on a W2 basis. Our W2 consultants enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage and a 401(k) plan. We are seeking a highly technical Business Analyst to support a critical Snowflake migration within the HR/People Analytics space. This role is heavily focused on data quality, validation, and QA. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working deep within the data warehouse environment. This is not a functional BA role. The right person will be β€œknee-deep” in data daily β€” validating, testing, analyzing transformations, and ensuring reporting accuracy. Key Responsibilities β€’ Perform ongoing data validation and QA testing during a Snowflake migration β€’ Write complex SQL queries for data analysis, profiling, and validation β€’ Validate HR data accuracy, integrity, and transformation logic β€’ Ensure raw data is correctly transformed into reporting-ready datasets β€’ Support parallel QA efforts and testing cycles β€’ Pull and validate reports and metrics for HR stakeholders β€’ Identify data discrepancies and perform root cause analysis β€’ Partner closely with People Analytics, HR, and Data Engineering teams β€’ Build on and enhance existing datasets and dashboards Required Qualifications β€’ 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst β€’ Strong, hands-on experience with Snowflake (required) β€’ Experience with Power BI β€’ Advanced proficiency in SQL β€’ Experience working directly within a data warehouse environment β€’ Strong understanding of data transformations and reporting logic β€’ Experience with data validation, QA, and reconciliation processes β€’ Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up time β€’ Strong communication skills and ability to interact with HR stakeholders Preferred Qualifications β€’ Background working with HR systems or HR data β€’ Experience with Workday β€’ Familiarity with metadata/catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) β€’ Experience in biopharma or highly regulated environments Work Environment β€’ Fully onsite, 5 days per week β€’ High-visibility role supporting HR and People Analytics leadership β€’ Small, collaborative team environment β€’ Direct exposure to business stakeholders Ideal Candidate Profile β€’ Data quality mindset β€” naturally questions discrepancies β€’ Strong sense of urgency and ownership β€’ Highly technical and comfortable working deep in the data β€’ Able to hit the ground running with limited training β€’ Professional and presentation-ready for onsite stakeholder interaction This is an opportunity to play a key role in a high-impact data initiative while working closely with leadership in People Analytics. Candidates who are more functional than technical will not be the right fit for this position.
