Role description
Summary Job Summary Technical Data Analyst (Jersey City, NJ) • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Master Data Management (MDM) and financial data domains, focusing on Security Master, Account, Benchmark, Client, and other master/reference data. • Perform data profiling, mapping, transformation analysis, and reconciliation across multiple financial systems and data platforms. • Analyze and document enterprise data flows, business rules, and data lineage. • Support the implementation and modernization of MDM, data integration, and data warehouse initiatives on both legacy and cloud-native platforms. • Collaborate with data architects, engineers, governance, and business teams to define and manage master/reference data standards. • Engage with market data providers, operational systems, accounting platforms, and external data feeds to ensure data consistency and quality. • Drive initiatives on data standardization, metadata management, data cataloging, and data quality. • Assist with defining data governance standards, lineage tracking, and operational controls. • Support analytics, reporting, risk, compliance, and operational data initiatives within the enterprise. • Utilize strong SQL and advanced data analysis skills to work with complex, large financial datasets. • Function as a self-sufficient, technically hands-on analyst with strong communication and documentation skills. • Leverage experience in financial services, asset/wealth management, or banking industry and familiarity with regulatory requirements. • Preferred: Experience with enterprise data modernization, cloud migration (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Spark), and supporting enterprise analytics/reporting platforms.
