Role description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives, with a strong focus on data center cleanup, consolidation, and exit programs. This role will drive execution across application, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure safe decommissioning, migration, and cost optimization while maintaining business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery & Program Management
β’ Own end-to-end delivery of technical programs across application, infrastructure, and cloud domains
β’ Translate business objectives into execution plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
β’ Drive Agile / Hybrid / Waterfall delivery models based on program needs
β’ Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery metrics
β’ Provide clear status reporting and executive-level communication
β’ Ensure adherence to SDLC, governance, and quality standards
Data Center Cleanup & Exit:
β’ Lead data center cleanup, consolidation, and exit initiatives end to end
β’ Manage application, server, storage, network, and middleware decommissioning
β’ Coordinate workload migrations to cloud or alternate data centers
β’ Perform dependency mapping, asset inventory validation, and CMDB updates
β’ Ensure secure data archival, retention, and certified data destruction (ITAD)
β’ Partner with security, compliance, and audit teams to meet regulatory requirements
β’ Manage cutover planning, rollback strategies, and exit execution
β’ Oversee vendor coordination, contract exits, and cost optimization
β’ Track and report savings, risk reduction, and exit milestones
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical & Delivery Skills
β’ Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
β’ Experience delivering infrastructure, cloud, and data center transformation programs
β’ Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and migration patterns
β’ Familiarity with networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and backup technologies
β’ Experience with Agile, SAFe, and traditional program delivery
β’ Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Rally
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
β’ Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
β’ Experience working with executive stakeholders and global teams
β’ Ability to manage multiple vendors and system integrators
Experience & Education
β’ 12+ years of overall IT experience
β’ 5+ years as a Technical Delivery Manager / Program Manager / Engineering Manager
β’ Proven experience leading data center exit or large-scale infrastructure programs
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to Have
β’ Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP)
β’ SAFe Agilist, PMP, or Scrum certifications
β’ Experience with IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and compliance frameworks
β’ Background as a hands-on engineer or technical lead
