Technical Lead - Backend Integration (US Citizens or Green Card Only)

Job Title: Technical Lead – Backend Integration (Contract) Location: Baltimore, MD/Onsite Requirement Duration: 12 month contract Overview: We are seeking a Technical Lead with strong experience in backend integration and cloud-native development. The ideal candidate will lead the design and delivery of high-performance APIs and integrations, mentor developers, and ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and agile delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain backend integrations using Node.js, AWS Lambda, EKS, Kafka, MongoDB, and related technologies. • Oversee deployments of APIs and applications to AWS using Jenkins, Urbancode, and Terraform. • Configure/manage CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning. • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and enforce code quality through reviews and best practices. • Write and maintain test cases using Jest, Postman, Mocha, or Chai. • Collaborate with Product Owners, facilitate agile ceremonies, and manage backlog priorities. • Utilize JIRA for task tracking, reporting, and ensuring transparency of team progress. • Monitor metrics, risks, and dependencies to guide project delivery. Qualifications: • Proven expertise in AWS, Node.js, Lambda, EKS, Kafka, MongoDB, TypeScript, MERN stack. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud automation, and API development (Swagger/OAS). • Strong agile project delivery background; experience facilitating ceremonies and reporting metrics. • Excellent communication and leadership skills. • Insurance domain knowledge strongly preferred.
