Technical Lead - Insights & Analytics

We're looking for a skilled leader to support the management of a growing data team and drive the technical delivery of innovative data products. This role blends team leadership with hands-on technical expertise, contributing directly to our client’s mobile transformation programme. Contract Details • Rate: £600 per day (inside IR35) • Location: Reading/London (hybrid working – twice per week on-site) • Length: Until 31/12/2025 (with visibility to extend) • Start Date: ASAP • Open to other UK locations Key Responsibilities • Support day-to-day management of a 16-person data team across multiple disciplines. • Act as a technical lead for the delivery squad, ensuring high-quality data product solutions. • Contribute to mobile network reporting, customer experience insights, and market performance. • Lead development of new customer-centric KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools. • Collaborate on mobile transformation workstreams, focusing on strategic network investment. • Act as an escalation point and help temporarily split the team for better oversight. • Facilitate agile ceremonies and promote continuous improvement across the squad. Key Requirements • Strong mobile network domain knowledge (2G–5G, NB-IoT, LTE-M, backhaul, mobile core). • Proven experience in line management and technical leadership. • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI). • Hands-on experience with GCP and DBT for data transformation. • Familiarity with agile development practices (Scrum preferred). • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
