Technical Lead

Tech Lead/Manager Location: Denver, CO or Austin, TX Job Type: Contract • Strong understanding of Windows CE operating system architecture and API, including real-time features. • Experience with embedded Visual Tools or Visual Studio for Windows CE development. • Proficiency in C/C++ Programming Languages used for the embedded system. • Expertise in dial-up modem integration and troubleshooting, including understanding AT commands and network protocols. • Strong knowledge of UDP, TCP and LS networking, including configuration, troubleshooting, and potential real-time considerations. • Experience in integrating and managing peripherals connected via RS232 and USB ports. • Understanding of Magnetic Stripe Reader (MSR) data acquisition and processing, potentially including handling encrypted data from sources like credit cards. • Knowledge of touch screen functionality and user interface development for embedded • Strong knowledge of relational database systems, SQL Server, including SQL for querying, Strong knowledge of relational database systems, SQL Server, including SQL for querying, manipulation, and analysis. • Expertise in database administration tasks like designing schemas, and creating SQL scripts. • Familiarity with ODBC connections for database integration. • Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols like TCP/IP, crucial for troubleshooting communication between terminals and the server. • Experience with dial-up and Ethernet communications, essential for the transactional nature of the updates and downloads.
