Role description
About the Role Seeking a Technical Operations & Data Specialist to own and maintain the backend technical workflows that support our AWS infrastructure, internal databases, and business intelligence tools. This role is part-time (10–15 hrs/week) and ideal for someone with strong SQL skills, experience in AWS (especially DynamoDB and RDS), and familiarity with BI/reporting tools like Metabase and Google Sheets. Key Responsibilities Maintain and optimize AWS DynamoDB and RDS configurations that keep a production data environment synced with internal tools hosted out of AWS. Maintain and optimize MySQL stored procedures, views, triggers, and semantic tables in an internal database Manage and implement API call automation from within AWS Lambda to sync across multiple 3rd party tools. Evaluate which API calls to production database need to be added and implemented to internal tools. Manage and maintain Slack alert integrations driven by Zapier and Gsheets automations Maintain a custom BI stack from Metabase to Google Sheets Qualifications Strong SQL (preferably with production-grade experience) Familiarity with AWS DynamoDB, RDS, and basic infrastructure debugging Experience writing and interpreting API calls (Node.js or Python preferred) Comfortable working with Google Apps Script and automations in GSheets Bonus: familiarity with affiliate systems, payment data, or gamified platform Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $69,899.91 - $84,180.54 per year Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: Remote
