Technical Product Analyst | Financial/Mortgage
Location: McLean, VA (100% Onsite – Monday through Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
A leading financial/mortgage organization is seeking an experienced Technical Product Analyst to support enterprise product delivery initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly technical analyst with strong SQL, data analysis, Agile, and product delivery experience who enjoys working closely with developers on complex modernization and integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and Product Owners to translate business and technical requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Perform advanced SQL analysis using DB2 to support data migrations, integrations, reconciliation, and data modeling.
• Coordinate upstream and downstream system dependencies across APIs, microservices, and cloud-based platforms.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, backlog refinement, and sprint planning sessions.
• Support release planning, operational readiness, and technical coordination across multiple teams.
• Create test scenarios, review Cypress automation results, and partner with QA engineers to validate automated testing.
• Analyze business processes, data movement, and system interactions to improve product delivery and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
✅ 6+ years of Technical Product Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Product Delivery experience
✅ Advanced SQL expertise with strong DB2 experience
✅ Experience with data migration, data integration, reconciliation, and data modeling
✅ Experience writing technical user stories and detailed acceptance criteria
✅ Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms
✅ Agile/Scrum experience including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement
✅ Knowledge of Cypress automation testing (test scenarios, validation, reviewing automation results)
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ PostgreSQL experience
⭐ Familiarity with Angular (development experience not required)
⭐ Release readiness / Operational Readiness (ORAD) experience
⭐ Brownfield to cloud modernization projects
⭐ Greenfield application development initiatives
⭐ Experience defining Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)
⭐ AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar
⭐ Financial Services, Mortgage, or large enterprise experience

Pay Range: $50 - $70/hour
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
