As a Consultant, you will deliver case studies to Technology clients that communicate the business value of client's product or solution to marketing and sales. The case study will present a financial framework of the investment decision and factually present a product's value proposition in financial terms.
Candidates must have a basic understanding/interest in financial and business concepts, experience with qualitative and quantitative data analysis including financial modeling, an ability to translate data into a compelling story, and excellent communication, writing, and project management skills.
This is a part-time contract role. Hours will vary and average 20 hours per week. The contract is through the end of the year with potential for renewal.
The scope of the work includes:
β’ Managing end-to-end consulting projects
β’ Conducting executive-level phone interviews with client stakeholders and customers.
β’ Coordinating surveys that align with interviews.
β’ Evaluating the qualitative findings of interviews.
β’ Converting qualitative, quantitative and financial data into a compelling story.
β’ Building a quantitative financial model from interviews.
β’ Preparing a 20-page report in Word, including graphics, quotations, and charts.
β’ Creating and delivering PowerPoint decks, infographics and other content.
β’ Speaking on sales training sessions and/or on public-facing webinars.
Job Requirements:
β’ At least five years of client-facing consulting or related experience. A B.A./B.S. required; advanced degree, preferably an M.B.A., is preferred.
β’ Business acumen with demonstrated experience or deep interest in a wide range of technology topics.
β’ Interest in evaluating and writing case studies about the business value of investing in technology solutions across vendors and industries.
β’ Experience in conducting data and financial analysis/modeling, particularly related to technology adoption.
β’ Experience conducting in-depth interviews with clients and customers/business leaders.
β’ Proven ability to develop trust and demonstrate authority and expertise with senior and technical audiences.
β’ Proven experience delivering complex projects using multiple sources of qualitative and quantitative data to extrapolate and draw defensible conclusions.
β’ A solid understanding of business analysis, strong Excel skills, and/or experience related to business justification (like ROI analysis).
β’ Demonstrated experience building strong customer relationships. Superb, well-honed communication skills over the phone, email and in person.
β’ A strong, collaborative work ethic, willing to reach out to colleagues when called on to help or offer expertise. Experience managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and timelines.
