Role description
A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Technology Transformation Engineer to join their team in the Vienna, Virginia area.
Responsibilities:
Lead technical solution development for complex business challenges from concept through deployment
Create and maintain the annual DevEx and AI roadmap and communicate plans through multiple forums (lunch-and-learns, roadshows, demos, virtual walkthroughs, and visual artifacts)
Develop and maintain executive-level status reporting aligned to the roadmap
Improve and build upon existing production systems, guiding enhancements within established workflows
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and team members, promoting best practices
Ensure scalability and sustainability by partnering with IT and enterprise technology teams to move solutions from prototype to production
Support user adoption through documentation, training materials, SharePoint sites, and clear communications
Clearly articulate how DevEx and AI-enabled SDLC solutions solve end-user problems and deliver business value
Pilot and test new DevEx and AI features prior to release to engineering teams
Create documentation, demos, and notifications announcing new DevEx and AI capabilities
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
3+ years of professional experience solving complex, real-world problems in customer-facing or business-facing technology roles
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, or Physics
Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end software solutions from concept through design, deployment, and scaling
Proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript, with familiarity with modern frameworks and development tools
Proven experience engaging directly with business stakeholders and translating complex requirements into actionable solutions
Solid understanding of software delivery metrics such as DORA and SPACE and methods for improving
Strong project management and organizational skills
Desired Skills:
Experience in multi-team engineering organizations with a strong focus on developer enablement
Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects involving transformation, analytics, or operations technology.
Prior work integrating observability, monitoring, and logging into developer-facing systems
Strong understanding of system design, security, and performance optimization
Background in consulting, forward-deployed engineering, or hybrid engineering/business roles
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
