OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our dynamic team. Teradata to Snowflake migration typically involve designing and executing plans for migrating data, code, and applications from Teradata to Snowflake, a cloud-based data warehouse. These roles require expertise in both Teradata and Snowflake, including SQL, architecture, and best practices. Successful candidates will also be adept at planning, communication, and potentially working with system integrators.
Duties
Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence initiatives.
Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
Utilize AWS services for cloud-based data storage and processing solutions.
Conduct model training using advanced analytical techniques to improve predictive capabilities.
Write and optimize Shell scripts for automation of routine tasks and data processing workflows.
Work with Hadoop frameworks to manage large datasets effectively.
Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
Develop applications using VBA for process automation and reporting purposes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to data engineering.
Experience
Proven experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and model training is essential.
Proficiency in AWS services related to data management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Shell scripting, Hadoop, Informatica, and other relevant tools is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate trends from complex datasets.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
