Test Strategy Engineer [JAVA, OOPs] Sunnyvale California OR Portland Oregon On Site Summary Our Maps Evaluation Team is looking for a technically minded and communicative software developers to help contribute on building evaluation and testing suites and workflows to ensure Maps services are being properly tested. Key Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience • 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience • Strong expertise in object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java • Strong expertise in SQL or other similar querying languages • Ability to explain complex problems clearly and succinctly • Ability to work independently with minimal direction • Passion to collaborate and iterate on ideas in a cross-functional team Developing Test Strategies Test Plan Development Test Environment Setup Test Tool(s) Selection Testing Techniques Risk Assessment CI/CD [Continuous Improvement & Development] SDLC Description As a member of the Maps Evaluation team with a focus on service evaluation tool and platform development, you will be involved in the creation of systems that will be used in official signoff runs. You will be responsible for designing and implementing systems and tools to increase test coverage for highly visible & customer-impacting Maps services. ON OUR TEAM, YOUR DAILY ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE: • Implementing new features to enable a more effective qualification of the map • Collaborating cross-functionally with Maps test engineers and other Engineering teams • Working to deeply understand the functional testing process of services in Maps Education & Experience BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience will be considered. Additional Requirements While the following experiences are not vital, one or more of these would be helpful in this role: • REST service development • Spark or other streaming processing experience • Mapping applications and technologies • Developing and/or deploying CI/CD pipeline experience
