GLDPartners provides solutions across three areas: 1) advise global manufacturers and other shippers on supply chain strategy, network optimization and facility site selection; 2) advise asset/infrastructure investors and logistics asset owners (seaports, airports, rail) on project and market strategy; 3) master project planner of the North American TradePort Corridor System. 3. GLDPartners Mobility creates and deploys advanced technology solutions in support of ultra high-efficiency supply chain management and logistics. GLDPartners Mobility is deeply involved in cargo movement automation, cargo data integration, next generation infrastructure for TradePort Hubs, and clean powertrain deployment (hydrogen and electric). The firm maintains its headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, with presence in Washington DC, New York, Los Angeles, and in the Carolinas. Over the past 17 years, Global Logistics Development Partners has undertaken projects throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Role OverviewA senior member of the Global Logistics Development Partners management team, in this role we are seeking an extraordinary dynamic and visionary planning and development professional that can lead the delivery of 35 large-scale port/investment districts. The role of TradePort Planning and Development Director offers an exciting personal growth opportunity to shape and deliver large-scale industrial/transportation development projects by leveraging your proven expertise in planning-to-delivery property development. As a senior member of a very dynamic small firm, the PPD will be a hands-on position with a desire to do many things at once. The PPD role requires a combination of experience in the following areas: strategic business strategy, large-project site planning, civil engineering contract management, project and portfolio investment, local government relations, and environmental planning/compliance. Fundamentally, the PPD must have strong experience in understanding and managing financial elements of delivery, including cost management and investment funding. Importantly, the PPD role functions as a member of our senior corporate team, and the successful candidate will interface everyday with other members including logistics, technology, project finance, market analysis, business development and policy functions. The TradePort Planning and Development Director will be responsible for the successful planning and development of 35 TradePort Hubs across the US, Canada and Mexico and will ensure that the projects match our corporate strategy and market requirements. Success in this role will lead to a role as partner in the Company. Responsibilities Participate with corporate leadership on planning, financing of overall TradePort Corridor System planning and development. Lead the development of comprehensive master site plans for TradePort Hubs, integrating transportation infrastructure, environmental considerations. Produce in-house planning strategy and site development plans, phasing, infrastructure requirements, etc. Oversee the conduct of civil engineering services to define precise infrastructure requirements, cost estimates, environmental compliance, engineering drawings, etc. Oversee project scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of planning phases and adherence to budgets. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, and SketchUp to produce detailed design drafts and visualizations for proposals and presentations. Conduct data collection, GIS mapping, and spatial analysis using ArcView, ArcGIS, and other GIS tools to support informed decision-making. Coordinate with environmental law experts to ensure compliance with regulations and sustainable practices throughout project lifecycles. Manage contracts with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate seamless project progression. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and research documents to communicate project status and strategic insights effectively. Qualifications Proven experience in development planning, transportation planning, or infrastructure development with a strong background in project management. Proficiency in programs such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite for drafting and visualization tasks. Skilled in GIS tools such as ArcView or ArcGIS for spatial data analysis and mapping. Strong data analysis skills with experience in data collection, research methodologies, and report writing. Knowledge of environmental law, construction processes, contracts management, and economic development principles. Familiarity with transportation systems planning and environmental sustainability practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
