Role description
The TradingHub Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines that deliver large, complex capital markets data into the TradingHub trade surveillance platform. This position requires deep ETL and data management expertise, strong SQL and Python (or C#) skills, and hands-on experience working with financial market data across multiple asset classes. The engineer will work closely with compliance, trading, and technology teams to ensure accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant data flows supporting market abuse detection and surveillance analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest and process data from multiple internal and external sources into the TradingHub platform.
Configure, integrate, and optimize the TradingHub surveillance platform, ensuring data quality, completeness, and performance.
Apply deep capital markets knowledge across equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives to support accurate data mapping and transformation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, trading, and risk teams to align data management and surveillance workflows with regulatory standards.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and integration issues, performing root cause analysis for production incidents.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, mappings, and platform configurations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, performance tuning, and adoption of modern data management frameworks.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or related roles within financial services or capital markets.
TradingHub Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in TradingHub trade surveillance platform implementation.
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL and Python (or C#) programming skills.
Experience with ETL tools, data pipeline orchestration, and workflow automation.
Capital Markets Knowledge: Deep understanding of market data, trading workflows, and trade lifecycle across equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives.
Databases & Big Data: Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or big data platforms such as Spark or Hadoop.
Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with market abuse surveillance, trade reconstruction, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities with an aptitude for collaboration across multiple teams.
Education
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Advanced degree (Masterβs) preferred.
