Transit Data Analyst
New York City, NY – Hybrid (3 days ONSITE and 2 days Remote)
Contract Role (6+ Months)
Must have Skills: Analytics background, Mapping tools, GIS/GPS
Rate on C2C - Any Visa
Seeking a detail-oriented analyst to validate and reconcile transit data across multiple sources, ensuring accuracy between system data and real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and resolve discrepancies across datasets (e.g., GTFS, system outputs, real-world observations)
Investigate data issues like duplicate or conflicting identifiers
Use mapping tools and imagery (e.g., Google Street View, Cyclomedia) for validation
Interpret transit signage and verify infrastructure data
Conduct field visits using tools like 360 cameras and counting devices
Requirements:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
Ability to evaluate multiple data sources
Adaptability to learn new systems and tools
Willingness to perform fieldwork; valid driver’s license required
