UAV Autonomy Engineer

AddanEx JOB POSTING: Title: UAV Autonomy Engineer Location: Remote (US) Type: Contract Duration: 6 months (can be extended) Utilisation: 40 Hours per week Languages: English Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and validate mission autonomy software components, including behavior trees and mission-level behaviors • Develop and optimize algorithms for route planning and path planning in dynamic environments • Architect and manage data pipelines to support autonomy and decision-making systems • Contribute to the design of scalable and modular mission autonomy software architectures • Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code in Python and C++ • Perform software verification, validation, and testing to ensure reliability and performance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate autonomy solutions into larger systems Required Qualifications: • Must be a U.S. citizen. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field • Strong programming experience in Python and C++ • Experience with autonomy systems, robotics, or AI-driven software development • Solid understanding of path planning, route planning, and algorithm development • Familiarity with software architecture principles and best practices • Experience with testing, validation, and quality-focused software development Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with behavior trees or similar decision-making frameworks • Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or aerospace systems • Knowledge of real-time systems and distributed architectures • Familiarity with simulation environments and data management systems If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in MS Word format to Applications@AddanEx.com
