Role description
Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Deerfield, IL Job Type: 12-month contract Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week Schedule: First shift Pay Range: $36-42 per hour Job Description: This role serves as a key liaison between supply chain and transportation operations teams and IT, supporting Baxter’s Transportation Management System (TMS), Control Tower solutions, and data?driven decision making. You will work closely with business users and systems development teams to identify issues, assess root causes, translate business needs into system and data requirements, and drive sustainable solutions. While this role does not involve coding, it requires a strong understanding of backend data architecture, system integrations, and large?scale data analysis. Responsibilities Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding Support and enhance TMS and Control Tower applications, including existing production systems Assess and root?cause complex supply chain and transportation issues, partnering with IT to design and implement preventive solutions Translate business requirements into application and data requirements that developers can execute against Understand and implement business use cases from requirements through testing, go?live, and user adoption Support SIT and UAT phases, validating functionality and data accuracy Analyze large datasets using SQL and data tools to uncover trends, insights, and improvement opportunities Collaborate cross?functionally to define KPIs, build dashboards, and monitor supply chain performance Proactively communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders across functions and regions Support global teams and system rollouts across multiple geographies Required Skills Root?cause analysis and structured problem solving Strong verbal and written communication High level of collaboration, integrity, and cross?functional partnership Ability to independently drive issue resolution and clearly communicate status and outcomes Proven ability to influence stakeholders and move work forward in complex environments Required Experience & Knowledge Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred 5+ years of experience in supply chain, transportation, or supply chain technology Strong analytical and data skills, including working with large datasets Hands?on experience with SQL, data analysis, and data management Experience supporting or working with ERP systems, AWS, TMS, and supply chain visibility platforms Familiarity with API / EDI integrations Experience supporting UAT and SIT Understanding of application development and configuration processes Strong Microsoft Office skills Detail?oriented with a strong sense of urgency and follow?through Additional Skills LEAN training or certification (any level) Strong presentation skills Experience supporting end?to?end supply chain technology initiatives #LI-ZN1 #INDOEM
