Job Description
• The Senior UX Designer leads the end-to-end user experience for our web‑based SaaS platform, transforming complex workflows into intuitive, elegant, and scalable solutions.
• This role drives the strategic design direction of the product and partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, and key business stakeholders to define user needs and translate them into high-quality user experiences.
• The Senior UX Designer will champion user‑centered design practices, conduct and synthesize research, and contribute to the evolution of our design system.
• As a senior member of the team, they will mentor others, influence product strategy, and elevate the overall quality and consistency of the user experience.
• Operating within a Nexus‑scaled Agile environment, this role supports multiple delivery teams working from a shared product backlog.
• The designer will play a key role in introducing design earlier in the development lifecycle, improving cross-team alignment, and ensuring a cohesive user experience across independently delivered capabilities.
Key Responsibilities & Measures
• Manage projects and execute tasks in line with company SOPs and regulatory standards, including:
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and within agreed timelines
• Ensure compliance with Cogsatte design guides and standards
• Maintain accurate invoicing and time tracking
Key Measures of Success:
• Positive feedback from Product Management & business stakeholders
• Consistent adherence to design processes and standards
Essential Qualifications
Experience & Focus
• 7–10 years of UX/Product Design experience, with 5+ years in complex B2B Enterprise Web SaaS applications
• 2–3 years designing mobile‑centric products (mobile apps)
• Strong portfolio showcasing end‑to‑end solutions for data-heavy, browser‑based workflows (dashboards, configuration UIs, etc.)
• Proven record of shipping successful web products from concept to launch in an Agile/Scrum environment
Pace & Prioritization
• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to balance speed and quality with pragmatic design decisions
• Experience managing multiple concurrent design streams
• Comfortable operating where requirements evolve; uses design to create clarity
• Ability to quickly turn around designs and move solutions to production handoff efficiently
Technical Skillset
• Expert proficiency in Figma (Auto Layout, Variables/Tokens, Libraries)
• Deep understanding of Responsive Web Design and cross‑browser fidelity
• Strong familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
• Technical fluency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, modern JavaScript frameworks like React)
• Ability to translate design intent into reusable patterns maintainable by multiple teams
Technical Craft
• Complex Information Architecture for data-rich applications
• Data Visualization: designing actionable charts, graphs, dashboards
• Design Systems: contributing to and scaling centralized systems
• Rapid UX Prototyping (high-fidelity, interactive prototypes in Figma)
• Ability to produce design artifacts that anticipate cross-team integration points
