Role description
Weβre looking for a UI/UX Designer with Industrial Vision Platform experience for one of our clients at Georgetown, KY (onsite) or travel 2 week/month
Contract duration: 4 months
Responsibilities:
Experience with UI/UX Design for Industrial applications
β’ Design end-to-end UI/UX solutions for an industrial vision platform, including dashboards, configuration tools, monitoring screens, and analytics views
β’ Translate complex technical and industrial requirements into intuitive user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs
β’ Conduct user research with operators, engineers, and technical stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, and usability challenges
β’ Create and maintain design systems, UI standards, and reusable components for consistency across the platform
β’ Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, computer vision engineers, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle
β’ Design for real-time data visualization, alarms, inspections, and performance monitoring in industrial environments
β’ Capture design artifacts in client tools: Figma, LucidCharts, others
β’ Validate designs through usability testing, iterate based on feedback, and support continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer for complex software products
β’ Strong portfolio demonstrating UX problem-solving, interaction design, and visual design
β’ Experience designing data-heavy applications, dashboards, or technical platforms
β’ Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
β’ Solid understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and interaction design
β’ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams
β’ Strong communication and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with industrial software, manufacturing systems, machine vision, or automation platforms
β’ Familiarity with AI/ML or computer vision workflows
β’ Experience designing for B2B, enterprise, or industrial users
β’ Knowledge of accessibility standards and usability best practices
β’ Understanding of front-end development constraints (HTML/CSS, component-based design)
Deliverables:
β’ Process Flows
β’ Mentor and Knowledge transfer to client project team members
β’ Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility
β’ Participate in data conversion and data maintenance
β’ Provide best practice and industry specific solutions
β’ Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions
β’ Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed.
