Key Requirements and Technology Experience: • Key Skills; VBA • Excel • Macro • Mainframe • Databases in MS Access and/or DB2/SQL tables • Understanding of APIs • Demonstrated expertise in using VBA in Excel Developer. • Ability to read, improve, and fix existing VBA code at various levels of complexity. • Understanding of how APIs work and how Excel connects to various tools. • Knowledge of how macros send commands to: • Rumba, for updates and querying 3270 screens. • Generate output files in Excel or Word formats. • Update and query databases in MS Access and/or DB2/SQL tables. • Compose and send emails from Outlook. • Use Windows API to set active screens and take screenshots for macro processing. • Basic understanding of SQL Server for querying and updating tables. • Understanding of APIs for several web stores, using basic XML or JSON formats. • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field. • Six (6) years of experience writing software macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Micro Focus Rumba, or Strike.
