Position Title: Visual Analytics Developer Location: Rye, NY Clearance Requirements: None Position Status: Contract (Based on Experience) Pay Rate: $67/hr - $70/hr on W2 Position Description: Join a forward-thinking organization dedicated to leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and business success. We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Analytics Developer to design and deliver compelling data visualizations that transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, design, and business strategy, delivering impactful dashboards and reports that empower stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain high-quality Tableau and Power BI dashboards to visualize performance trends, operational insights, and business outcomes. • Translate complex datasets into intuitive visual analytics, enabling quick understanding of key drivers, risks, and opportunities. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and craft effective storytelling through data visualization. • Create solutions that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and decision-making. • Partner with data analytics teams and IT to ensure data accuracy, performance, and alignment with business definitions. • Document and validate detailed business and technical requirements, translating them into system specifications. • Develop system interfaces and business process documentation related to reporting solutions. • Ensure dashboards adhere to best practices in visual design, usability, and accessibility, utilizing effective layout, color, and interaction design. Required Skills & Experience: • 2–5 years of experience in visual analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization roles. • Expertise in creating engaging dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI. • Strong understanding of data storytelling and visual design principles. • Proven ability to work directly with business users to gather requirements and translate them into solutions. • Proficiency in Azure DevOps or similar tools for project management. • Advanced Tableau skills, including dashboard creation, calculated fields, performance optimization, and data source management. • Advanced Power BI skills, including report development, data modeling, DAX, and troubleshooting. Preferred (but not required): • Strong SQL skills for query development and data validation. • Experience publishing dashboards on Tableau Server and managing automated data refreshes. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication skills to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. • Experience leading requirement sessions and facilitating analytics discovery. • Knowledge of data blending, cleaning, and validating data sources for accuracy.
