A global insurance organization is seeking a Vice President to lead its Data Products and Reporting function. This executive will drive the establishment of a βdata-as-a-productβ model, enabling better decision-making and transparency across underwriting, claims, and financial operations. The role combines data strategy, product management, and stakeholder leadership to deliver trusted insights that shape business direction.
What Youβll Tackle
β’ Define and execute a data product strategy and roadmap aligned to business goals
β’ Oversee delivery of reporting and analytics solutions supporting core insurance functions
β’ Serve as Product Owner for the data engineering team, prioritizing and managing agile sprints
β’ Partner with business leaders to identify, scope, and deliver high-value data products
β’ Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all reports and dashboards
β’ Promote data governance, quality, and compliance across the organization
β’ Communicate progress, priorities, and business impact across executive and technical audiences
β’ 8β10+ years in analytics, BI, or data product management leadership
β’ Strong command of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Cognos, Qlik, Tableau)
β’ Proficiency with cloud and data technologies (AWS, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python)
β’ Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders
β’ Understanding of insurance data flows and product complexity (policy, claims, underwriting)
β’ Proven experience delivering in agile environments and managing cross-functional teams
β’ Agile Product Owner certification
β’ Experience with AI/ML-driven reporting or automation
β’ Familiarity with actuarial, finance, or risk reporting systems
β’ Collaborative, transparent, and delivery-oriented culture
β’ Emphasis on accountability and communication at all levels
β’ Balance between strategic planning and tactical execution
β’ Strong partnership between business, data, and technology
