A global insurance organization is seeking a Vice President to lead its Data Products and Reporting function. This executive will drive the establishment of a “data-as-a-product” model, enabling better decision-making and transparency across underwriting, claims, and financial operations. The role combines data strategy, product management, and stakeholder leadership to deliver trusted insights that shape business direction.
What You’ll Tackle
• Define and execute a data product strategy and roadmap aligned to business goals
• Oversee delivery of reporting and analytics solutions supporting core insurance functions
• Serve as Product Owner for the data engineering team, prioritizing and managing agile sprints
• Partner with business leaders to identify, scope, and deliver high-value data products
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all reports and dashboards
• Promote data governance, quality, and compliance across the organization
• Communicate progress, priorities, and business impact across executive and technical audiences
• 8–10+ years in analytics, BI, or data product management leadership
• Strong command of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Cognos, Qlik, Tableau)
• Proficiency with cloud and data technologies (AWS, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders
• Understanding of insurance data flows and product complexity (policy, claims, underwriting)
• Proven experience delivering in agile environments and managing cross-functional teams
• Agile Product Owner certification
• Experience with AI/ML-driven reporting or automation
• Familiarity with actuarial, finance, or risk reporting systems
• Collaborative, transparent, and delivery-oriented culture
• Emphasis on accountability and communication at all levels
• Balance between strategic planning and tactical execution
• Strong partnership between business, data, and technology
