Video Hybrid – West Sacramento, CA (2–3 days onsite, 2–3 days remote) 2 years (possible extension up to 4 years) US Citizen or Green Card Holder References: 2–3 required with submission About The Role We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join the BI & Data Warehouse Project team. This individual will collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and ETL developers to deliver data-driven insights, predictive analytics, and AI-powered business intelligence solutions. This is a long-term opportunity to contribute to one of the largest public pension funds in the world, ensuring better products, faster insights, and stronger data governance for enterprise-level decision-making. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deliver enterprise BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, and ETL processes. Integrate Generative AI into BI/DW platforms to automate insights, improve data interpretation, and accelerate decision-making. Apply machine learning and AI frameworks for predictive analytics to anticipate business trends. Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into BI functional designs and technical solutions. Build optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and performance-tuned datasets for analytical consumption. Lead and conduct functional testing of BI solutions, ensuring accuracy and quality prior to user acceptance. Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot BI/analytics solutions for scalability and performance. Create detailed documentation, reports, and data visualizations to ensure usability and alignment with business goals. Review and provide recommendations on data models, ETL workflows, and integration strategies. Deliver regular technical findings, status reports, and risk assessments to project leadership. Minimum Technical Qualifications (Must-Haves) 1+ year of hands-on experience delivering analytics solutions with Generative AI. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (dashboards, visualization, advanced design). 5+ years of SQL development experience (queries, optimization, stored procedures, functions, views). 3+ years of experience with Snowflake or AWS Redshift data warehouses. Ability to work on-site in West Sacramento, CA (hybrid model: 2–3 days per week). Desirable Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years working with Agile methodologies and SDLC practices. 5+ years of experience with Power BI DAX for advanced calculations, measures, and data modeling. 3+ years’ experience working in State agency, financial, investment, or other regulated industries. Strong ability to design analytical data models and reports that provide actionable insights for business leaders.
