Role :: Data Engineer Location :: Princeton, NJ (Onsite) Duration :: Long terms We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team and lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines in a cloud-first environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS Cloud Services, ETL processes, Databricks, and data migration tools such as AWS DMS. You will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of enterprise data solutions. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing. • Build and maintain data lake and warehouse solutions using tools like Databricks, AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, and S3. • Manage data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration across multiple data sources using AWS DMS, Apache Airflow, and similar tools. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable data products. • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines to ensure data quality and reliability. • Support data migration and integration efforts from on-premise to AWS Cloud. • Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of cloud-based data workflows. • Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering. • Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, DMS). • Expertise in ETL tools and frameworks such as AWS Glue, Informatica, Talend, or custom Spark-based solutions. • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala). • Experience designing and building data pipelines in a cloud-native environment. • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala). • Experience with data modeling, performance tuning, and large-scale data processing. • Familiarity with data lake, data warehouse, and streaming architecture is a plus.
