Job Title: Web Analytics Consultant (Google Analytics 4)
Location: Springfield, Missouri (Remote with 3 day onsite client visit per month)
Overview
A leading retail organization in Springfield, MO is seeking a Senior Web Analytics Engineer with expert GA4 experience. This hybrid role owns GA4/GTM implementation, data governance, and analytics optimization across digital platforms, supporting product, marketing, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design and implement GA4 tracking via GTM for web and mobile.
β’ Build/maintain data layers, events, custom dimensions, metrics, and audiences.
β’ Develop Analytics Implementation Guides and technical documentation.
β’ Conduct QA using DebugView, Tag Assistant, Charles Proxy, and browser dev tools.
β’ Collaborate in Agile/Scrum sprints, translating business needs into analytics requirements.
β’ Build dashboards in GA4 and Looker Studio; support integrations with Google Ads, BigQuery, Tableau/Power BI.
β’ Manage cross-domain/device tracking and ensure GDPR/CCPA compliance.
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs in CS, Information Systems, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
β’ 5+ years hands-on digital analytics experience with expert GA4/GTM skills.
β’ Strong JavaScript, JSON, HTML/CSS, and advanced SQL.
β’ Proficiency with debugging tools and data warehousing concepts.
β’ Strong communication and documentation skills; Agile experience.
Preferred
β’ Retail/e-commerce analytics experience.
β’ Advanced BigQuery and data modeling.
β’ Adobe Analytics familiarity.
β’ Experience with segmentation and advanced marketing analytics.
