Role description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Data Analyst/Web Manager to lead digital analytics collection, analysis, and reporting for the Marketing and Communications division. Reporting to the Senior Director of Web Services and Digital Accessibility, this role will drive actionable insights from tools like Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Power BI, ensuring data-driven strategies align with organizational marketing goals and strategic plans. The Data Analyst/Web Manager will also oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of websites, optimize user experiences through SEO and analytics best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful web and marketing solutions. This is a unique opportunity to convert to a permanent role at $70,000 annually after three months, along with access to free tuition reimbursement at the university. The position also includes training staff on analytics tools and providing expert guidance on the evolution of web-based services. location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania job type: Contract salary: $18 - 23 per hour work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Associates Responsibilities β€’ Collect, analyze, and interpret website performance data using GA4, GTM, and Google Search Console. β€’ Create and deliver monthly, annual, and ad hoc analytics reports with actionable recommendations. β€’ Design and maintain automated dashboards and visualizations in Power BI. β€’ Lead analytics projects from requirements gathering to final reporting. β€’ Document project specifications, workflows, and instructions for stakeholders. β€’ Provide data-driven recommendations to improve UX, content effectiveness, and digital marketing. β€’ Conduct keyword and competitor research to support SEO and campaign strategy. β€’ Collaborate with leadership to align analytics efforts with institutional goals. β€’ Develop, enhance, and maintain websites via Modern Campus CMS. β€’ Ensure data integrity by troubleshooting reporting environments. β€’ Partner with content editors, departments, and vendors to meet data needs. β€’ Train staff and web editors on analytics tools and best practices Qualifications β€’ Proven experience in web analytics, reporting, and optimization. β€’ Hands-on expertise with GA4, GTM, Google Search Console, and Power BI. β€’ Background in SEO, keyword research, and digital marketing analytics. β€’ Experience managing and maintaining CMS-driven websites (Modern Campus CMS preferred). β€’ Project management experience from requirements gathering through execution. β€’ Strong background in collaborating with marketing and communications teams. Skills β€’ Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills. β€’ Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard creation. β€’ Strong understanding of SEO principles and analytics best practices. β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. β€’ Ability to train and support non-technical staff. β€’ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. β€’ Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
