Role description
Position: WebSphere Engineer (IBM)

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet business and technical requirements.
• This role requires strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and support.
Must have :
• Experience working with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), including application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with WebSphere Liberty and traditional WebSphere environments, including server administration and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with application frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Node.js, Angular, React).
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with RESTful API design and integration.
• Familiarity with relational databases
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) .
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills , Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code .
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with software testing and debugging .
• Proficiency with support tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira)
Good to Have :
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) .
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with mobile application development
