Brief Description JOB TITLE: YDP Football Insights Analyst DEPARTMENT: Football Insights & Intelligence REPORTING TO: U7-U15 Football Insights Lead JOB FUNCTION: A Youth Development Phase (YDP) Football Insights Analyst will provide video and data driven insights to support the development of players and teams across the Youth Development Phase age groups. This role is responsible for the delivery of high-quality insights to Directors, Coaches and Players to enhance decision making processes and overall performance development within the YDP age groups. LOCATION: Cobham. About the role; The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality video and data football insights to directors, coaches and players to support the decision-making processes across the Youth Development Phase (YDP). This role is responsible for supporting players in their individual technical and tactical development through the delivery of a football education curriculum. This role is also responsible in providing video and data insights to support the development and performances of the YDP teams in line with the club’s Football Identity. In this role, the analyst must provide insights to club directors and coaches to support the decision making around player individual focus areas, team performance and retain & release decisions. Analysts are also expected to deliver actionable insights to colleagues as part of the formal player and team performance development reviews. Lastly, this individual should contribute to a culture of innovation across the department, with a focus on identifying and integrating technological advancements, new methods of analysis and enhanced feedback of insights reporting to coaches and players. Main Responsibilities β€’ Lead the planning and delivery of the Analysis Football Curriculum to YDP players to support their technical & tactical development in line with the Football Identity and their individual focus areas. β€’ Lead the planning and delivery of video and data insights to support the education of players during the day release weekly programme. β€’ Provide detailed and timely video and data insights to support coaches and players in the pre-match preparation ahead of upcoming matches. β€’ Provide concise, timely and impactful video and data insights during matches to support coaches in live decision making and player feedback. β€’ Provide detailed and timely post-match video and data insights to directors and coaches to support post-match reflections and decision making in line with the Football Identity. β€’ Lead and deliver the individual post-match video reflections for players in line with the Individual Player Library programme. β€’ Track, monitor and report on the development of team and player development using the established Football Identity KPIs. β€’ Provide consistent live and post training video and data insights to support the planning, delivery and reviews of training sessions. β€’ Prepare and deliver data and video insights ahead of player and team development reviews. β€’ Drive the delivery of Player Progress Meeting actions, including leading on all analysis related actions. β€’ Collaborate with the departments Intelligence analysts to innovate existing data reporting and develop new reporting methods to support decision making across the club’s leadership. β€’ Contribute to the development of the Football Identity Academy video library to support coaches and players in the ongoing education of the Football Identity. β€’ Provide timely and detailed insights to support Directors with decision making around retain and release. β€’ Drive and positively influence the insights innovation across the YDP teams in collaboration with the Head of Football insights & Intelligence β€’ Support the Head of Football Insights & Intelligence with innovating the technology coverage across the YDP teams by researching and testing new technology and software that will support the delivery of data and video insights. β€’ Regularly support and collaborate with colleagues across the department to enhance insights practices across the age groups. β€’ Support the U7-U15 Football Insights Lead with any ad hoc or project requests.
