Role description
DevOps Engineer DevOps Engineer β€’ Remote long-term contract β€’ Must be a US Citizen for this client This position will provide day to day support with the team toward β€œkeep the lights on” work as well as support the build out of new instances of our on-prem environment to support contract growth. Our teams currently have multiple asks to build 3 additional instances of MedNet on-prem, while supporting the existing MedNet 1 & 2 instances and will need additional staff to support these requests and attempt to meet deadlines. This position will be responsible for updating documentation, requesting server builds based off of server specification requirements, configuring pre-code deployment IIS settings, deploying code, and troubleshooting issues that may occur post-deployment within the new environment. Responsibilities β€’ Setup, install, configure and maintain build infrastructure β€’ Create and maintain build and deployment scripts β€’ Maintain source control branches β€’ Perform periodic builds and deployments to production environment β€’ Perform manual code merges and deploy partial releases and patches β€’ Work with other IT teams to review pre-release checklists and coordinate activities to be performed prior to, during and post releases by others β€’ Work with other IT teams to perform troubleshooting and resolution of build and deployment issues in sprint and during releases related to deployment targets, databases, certificates, permissions, firewall changes, IIS configurations and any other system and network dependencies β€’ Work with Development teams and participate in troubleshooting high priority application related issues after releases β€’ Configure and maintain application settings and credentials β€’ Perform administration of Azure DevOps Servers including regular maintenance, user management and security β€’ Design and implement policies for managing source code within ADO and Git, including branching, merging and tagging policies to support frequent releases, concurrent development, and partial fixes β€’ Create and maintain documentation of the build and release processes β€’ Develop metrics and reporting for build and release tasks β€’ Investigate, evaluate, propose and implement new tools or processes to improve the reliability, stability and efficiency of the build and deployment pipelines Required Job Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience β€’ At least 2 years of experience working within a DevOps Engineering role β€’ Intermediate knowledge of cloud infrastructure services, specifically with Azure β€’ 2+ years of experience with Docker or other containerization technologies β€’ 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and platforms such as Azure DevOps, Argo, and Flux. β€’ Experience supporting 24Γ—7, high availability application environments that include web, application and database servers and load balancing systems. β€’ Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and relational databases β€’ Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, large scale Agile/Scrum development environment β€’ Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered Preferred β€’ Experience with CI using tools such as Azure DevOps, YAML, Task Agent, or Pools β€’ Experience with hosting .NET applications, Windows Forms, Web Services, RESTful APIs, Single Page Application, Micro Services. β€’ Experience working with Container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes β€’ Experience with Object Oriented Programming concepts β€’ Experience leveraging AI tools in the software development lifecycle in order to improve quality & efficiency. Hourly Rates: $45 – 55/Hr W2, $55 – 72/Hr 1099/C2C
