Role description
Title: 3D Point Cloud ML Architect/Developer Location: Hartford, CT/ Remote with Minimal travel (<10%) to CT offices. This is not mandatory and only required if client requires it. Term: Contract Mandatory Skills: 3D Point Cloud ML Architect/Developer with Agentic AI framework, ML Engineering and 3D point cloud data extraction experience A Senior ML Engineer (>10 years of experience in software development of which last 3 years have done ML flow hands-on) for an on-premises solution. He/She will design and implement machine learning systems for advanced 3D point cloud analytics and document data extraction. This role prioritizes local infrastructure, high security, and data sovereignty, building solutions entirely within internal servers and networks. Short Job Description β€’ Develop, test, and deploy ML pipelines for 3D point cloud processing, including registration, filtering, segmentation, and modeling on local servers. β€’ Extract and classify data from documents using OCR and NLP, all using solutions that are within on-prem environments. β€’ Optimize performance for large data volumes leveraging local GPU clusters and accelerated computing. β€’ Ensure robust integration with in-house IT systems and secure storage frameworks. β€’ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for continuous solution improvement. On-Prem Tools & Technologies β€’ 3D Point Cloud: Open3D, PCL (C++), CloudCompare, MeshLab. β€’ ML/DL Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow (on local machines or clusters). β€’ NLP/OCR: spaCy, Tesseract, OpenCV, local implementations of HuggingFace models. β€’ Infrastructure: Docker, Git, local CI/CD, on-prem GPU infrastructure. β€’ Must have - Continuous development using Programming languages - Python, C++. Additional Needs: β€’ Agentic AI framework experience is a plus β€’ Previous work experience in RTX or defense would be extremely helpful β€’ Collaboratively work with multiple engineers and customer architecture teams - Data architecture, Data scientists, full stack and project team to deliver to the project outcomes β€’ Must have coding skills to handle on-prem - All solutions are expected to be hosted, processed, and secured entirely within the organization’s physical premises, not in cloud platforms. β€’ Must have proven track record of working under exigent schedules, with less details present at the start of the project β€’ Some travel to the customer may be required (<10% of time) for multiple needs - software bring up, ML flow changes and so on.
