Global Trade Integration: Connecting Poor Communities L3C (GTI Connect) is a U.S.-registered Low-Profit Limited Liability Company (L3C) incorporated in the State of Illinois. Our social mission is to reduce information inequality by providing free, high-quality global trade intelligence that empowers researchers, policymakers, businesses, and underserved communities around the world.
Our platform currently hosts thousands of interactive trade dashboards and indicators covering more than 200 economies and three decades of international trade data.

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Tableau developer to collaborate with us in designing the next generation of our Tableau dashboards. This is an unpaid internship/collaboration opportunity intended for individuals who wish to contribute their expertise to a meaningful social-impact initiative while working on one of the largest publicly accessible trade analytics platforms.
What we do:
• Design innovative, interactive Tableau dashboards for complex international trade datasets.
• Improve dashboard usability, performance, and visual storytelling.
• Develop advanced Tableau visualizations using best practices.
• Collaborate to transform complex analytical concepts into intuitive dashboards.
Required Qualifications:
• A graduate degree in data analysis or similar discipline.
• Advanced to expert-level Tableau skills.
• Demonstrated experience creating sophisticated Tableau dashboards.
• Strong understanding of dashboard design, user experience, calculated fields, parameters, level-of-detail (LOD) expressions, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Application Requirement:
Applicants must submit one advanced sample of Tableau dashboards demonstrating advanced technical and visualization skills. Applications without a portfolio or dashboard sample will not be considered.
Highly Desirable:
• Tableau Ambassadors are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Tableau Community leaders, Tableau Visionaries, or individuals with recognized Tableau expertise.
