Ab-Intio Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ab Initio Developer to lead the design and implementation of high-performance ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions for our enterprise data platform. This role involves architecting complex, scalable data pipelines using the full Ab Initio suite to process massive datasets. You will be a key driver in optimizing data throughput, ensuring data integrity, and leveraging modern metadata management practices within a high-stakes, data-driven environment. Key Responsibilities • ETL Architecture & Development: Design and develop complex Ab Initio graphs and plans utilizing the Graphical Development Environment (GDE) and the Co-Operating System. • Metadata Management: Manage the Enterprise Meta Environment (EME), including version control, object promotion, and lineage tracking for all data assets. • Performance Optimization: Perform deep-dive tuning of Ab Initio graphs to handle multi-terabyte datasets, focusing on parallel processing, MFS (Multi-File System) optimization, and resource utilization. • Advanced Logic Implementation: Utilize PDL (Parameter Definition Language) and Metaprogramming to build dynamic, reusable components and frameworks. • Data Integration & Quality: Design and implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure the accuracy and reliability of high-volume data streams across the organization. • Scheduling & Orchestration: Configure and maintain production job schedules using Control Center or enterprise schedulers (e.g., Autosys, Airflow). • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Architects and Business Stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into techno-functional specifications and efficient data models.
