Job Title: Ab Initio Developer with DevOps Expertise Location: Richmond VA Job Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio Developer with DevOps experience to support and enhance our data integration pipelines and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL development using Ab Initio, along with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud or on-prem DevOps tools. Key Responsibilities: Ab Initio Development: • Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows using Ab Initio components (Graphical Development Environment (GDE), Co>Op, Conduct>It, etc.). • Work with large-scale data transformations, data loading, cleansing, and quality assurance. • Debug and troubleshoot Ab Initio graphs and batch job failures. • Collaborate with business and data teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions. DevOps & Automation: • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ETL code deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps. • Automate deployment, monitoring, and alerting of data pipelines and ETL environments. • Work with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to provision and manage resources. • Manage code versioning and branching strategies using Git. • Support containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) if applicable. • Participate in environment provisioning, release planning, and performance tuning. Required Skills: • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio (GDE, EME, Conduct>It). • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of data warehousing concepts. • 2+ years of experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and scripting. • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or GitLab. • Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Groovy. • Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems, job scheduling (e.g., Autosys, Control-M).
