Job Title Infrastructure Accounting Analyst, Data Center (Temporary) Location Austin, Texas About the Role Meta is seeking an Infrastructure Accounting Analyst to join its Data Center team on a temporary basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to accelerate learning, contribute to building scalable processes, and manage a significant portion of Meta’s infrastructure investments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of balancing precision with the agility needed to support rapid business growth. Responsibilities β€’ Manage accounting for multiple data center construction projects, including record-to-report, month-end close processes, and SOX compliance. β€’ Own and reconcile balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers of varying complexity. β€’ Build strong relationships with Infrastructure Business Partners to align on objectives, design processes, and provide accounting guidance. β€’ Identify process inefficiencies and independently develop/implement solutions. β€’ Provide financial and technical analysis, special project support, and ad hoc reporting for finance leadership and cross-functional partners. β€’ Review transactions, contracts, and accounting treatments, preparing or approving journal entries. β€’ Manage Capex/Opex accruals, asset additions, and Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) processes. β€’ Execute internal controls, maintain financial trackers (non-GAAP schedules, location matrices), and ensure compliance. β€’ Use Oracle Financials, Hyperion, and SQL to support accounting operations and data analysis. β€’ Partner cross-functionally (FP&A, external vendors, internal stakeholders) to streamline reporting and decision-making. Minimum Qualifications β€’ BA/BS in Accounting or Finance. β€’ 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, auditing, or related fields. β€’ Experience in analyzing large datasets and driving business process improvements. β€’ Strong collaboration skills across internal and external teams. β€’ Proven ability to optimize/redesign processes to meet evolving business needs. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Big 4 Audit experience and CPA certification. β€’ Familiarity with Oracle Financials and Hyperion. β€’ Experience in system implementation and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT). β€’ SQL skills and experience handling large datasets. β€’ Background in infrastructure/construction industry accounting. β€’ Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance. Must-Have Skills 1. Financial Accounting & Auditing – Expertise in audits, month-end close, SOX controls, and balance sheet management. 1. Collaboration & Communication – Strong partner engagement across functions and levels. 1. Process Improvement & Data Analysis – Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions. 1. System Implementation (UAT) – Ensuring systems meet accounting and business requirements. Nice-to-Have Skills β€’ Big 4 background + CPA. β€’ Oracle Financials and Hyperion proficiency. β€’ SQL and large dataset handling. β€’ Infrastructure industry experience. β€’ Strong internal controls expertise. Day-to-Day Focus β€’ Data center construction accounting lifecycle (month-end, SOX compliance, balance sheet). β€’ Process improvement with Infrastructure partners. β€’ Financial and technical analysis for infrastructure investments. β€’ System and data management using Oracle, Hyperion, and SQL. β€’ Cross-functional collaboration with FP&A and external/internal teams.
