Job Title: ADO Solutions Expert Location: 100% remote Duration: 3+ months Salary: $100/hr Overview Our client is seeking an experienced ADO Solutions Expert to lead the optimization of their Azure DevOps (ADO) environment and align project lifecycle governance with Engineering’s SDLC and agile delivery processes. The organization’s current project lifecycle—from initiation through delivery to support—varies across teams, resulting in fragmented practices and inefficiencies. The goal of this engagement is to design and implement a unified, scalable framework that integrates agile practices, SDLC governance, and ADO configuration to streamline operations, improve performance metrics, and enable end-to-end visibility.Scope of Work 1. Current State Assessment • Conduct a desk review of existing project, engineering, and support documentation. • Facilitate interviews with key staff to identify process gaps and pain points. • Summarize findings and performance inefficiencies. 1. Framework Design & Recommendations • Develop a flexible, tailored agile/engineering delivery framework. • Define clear roles and responsibilities to improve accountability. • Recommend best practices drawn from leading ADO and agile implementations. • Establish Wiki management guidelines for documentation, versioning, and reference within tickets. 1. ADO Optimization • Configure Azure DevOps to support the full project lifecycle—from initiation to support handoff. • Integrate ticketing and project management systems into ADO. • Build dashboards, workflows, and controls for: • Project Management • Engineering (SDLC) • Support Teams • Security and Compliance 1. Performance and Training • Define KPIs and delivery performance metrics across all teams. • Recommend and develop training and coaching plans for agile practices and role clarity. • Support deployment and maintenance of ADO enhancements and framework components. Key Deliverables • Current State Assessment Summary • Matrix Platform Project Lifecycle Framework (aligned with SDLC & Agile) • ADO Configuration and Setup Plan • Role & Responsibility Matrix • KPI Dashboard & Metrics Definition • Best Practices & Controls Recommendations • Deployment and Maintenance Plan Requirements • Proven experience as an ADO Solutions Expert with extensive Azure DevOps configuration knowledge. • Deep understanding of project lifecycle design, SDLC alignment, and agile frameworks. • Experience with workflow integration across project management, engineering, and support teams. • Ability to assess and document current state, and recommend future state workflows • Strong background in performance metrics, KPI development, and reporting dashboards. • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Azure Boards. • Exposure to automated testing and quality gates (SonarQube, Selenium, etc.). • Understanding of release management, change control, and versioning best practices. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on data accuracy and continuous improvement. #TECH #remote
