What You Can Expect
As our Operations Data Analytics, Advisor, you will play a vital role in delivering critical insights that help monitor and improve our operational processes to better serve our customers. As part of this team, you’ll use data and analytics to keep us on track and uncover insights that guide our path through the energy transition. You will be responsible for delivering data-driven analysis to support and enhance operational performance across ENGIE. This role is essential in monitoring key processes, identifying inefficiencies or risks, and driving continuous improvement through the development and refinement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you’ll work closely with Operations, as well as cross-functiona l teams such as Sales, Pricing, and other areas within Supply. Your focus will be on delivering actionable insights that improve both financial and operational outcomes, while supporting ENGIE’s broader energy transition strategy. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining performance reporting tools, supporting improvements to reporting systems, and providing analytical support to evaluate operational effectiveness. You’ll also partner with teams across the organization to identify new measurement opportunities and uncover trends that inform strategic decisions. This r ole contributes to enterprise-wide dashboards and scorecards by delivering insights that guide decision-making, support margin optimization, and highlight opportunities for enhanced performance.
This position is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Senior Advisor, Operations Data Analytics
What You’ll Bring
• You hold a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in business operations, or analytics. Alternatively, we will consider candidates with at least ten (10) years of hands-on experience in a quantitative discipline, where you've gained strong analytical skills and applied them in a practical, results-oriented environment
• You have prior experience in the retail energy industry and a proven ability to contribute individually while collaborating with a results-driven, data-focused team
• You have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of solving complex business problems using data-driven approaches
• You are proficient in SQL (T-SQL/PL-SQL) and experienced in building advanced queries and predictive analytics across multiple systems and large datasets
• You are an expert in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query/M, with the ability to design intuitive dashboards and executive-level visual reports
• You are knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel (VBA, Power Query, Power Pivot), PowerPoint, and familiar with Azure tools such as Data Factory and SQL Data Warehouse; Python experience is a plus
• You have strong project management skills, able to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environmen
Additional Details
• This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy three (3) days in office
• Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $99,000 – $151,800 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
