AI Developer – Contract (LLM / Vertex AI / GCP) Location: Remote UK Type: Contract Length: 6 months Rate: Competitive, based on experience Overview We’re hiring an experienced AI Developer to help build and deploy natural language agents capable of interpreting and querying large datasets through conversational interfaces. The project is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with Vertex AI at its core, and supports over 25,000 queries per day. You’ll play a key technical role in developing production-grade, scalable AI solutions. What You’ll Be Doing • Building and deploying AI agents that respond to natural language queries • Developing and integrating with Vertex AI for LLM training, tuning, and deployment • Writing clean, production-level Python code to support ML workflows and APIs • Working with retrieval and indexing tools (e.g. vector stores, embeddings, RAG) • Integrating solutions with GCP data services like BigQuery or Firestore • Ensuring code is robust, scalable, and security-compliant Must-Have Skills • Solid experience as an AI/ML Developer or LLM Engineer • Strong practical knowledge of Vertex AI and GCP • Experience deploying or fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) • Python programming skills with focus on ML/data engineering • Familiarity with LangChain, prompt engineering, or semantic search methods Nice to Have • Experience with MLOps tooling (CI/CD, Docker, model monitoring) • Familiarity with conversational agent design or chat system integration • Exposure to agent frameworks like LangGraph or AutoGen If you are interested please apply!
