AI Engineer (Conversational AI & M365 Solutions) Location: Columbus, OH (Mostly remote, but may need to attend an occasional onsite meeting)Job Type: Contract (with potential extensions) Job Summary Hive+Co has a contract opportunity with our client for an experienced AI Engineer to design, build, and support intelligent chatbot and generative AI solutions across Microsoft, Google, and AWS platforms. This role focuses heavily on conversational AI, M365 modernization, and secure API-driven integrations that enhance customer experience and workforce efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Bot Framework, Copilot Studio, Google CCAI, and M365, along with a solid foundation in software engineering and cloud-based AI services. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain conversational AI and generative AI solutions using Microsoft and Google platforms Build and modernize M365 solutions, including migration of SharePoint 2016 On-Prem applications to M365 Architect chatbot user flows, APIs, integrations, and conversational experiences Develop and maintain GenAI solutions using AWS services (including AWS Bedrock as applicable) Implement NLP techniques to improve chatbot accuracy and response quality Train, deploy, monitor, and optimize AI models and chatbot performance Create dashboards and reports to analyze chatbot usage, trends, and effectiveness Design secure AI solutions that comply with data privacy and security standards Build proof-of-concept (POC) solutions to evaluate emerging AI technologies Develop Copilot plugins, custom copilots/agents, and Power Platform automations Collaborate cross-functionally with business, UX, governance, and architecture teams Produce technical documentation and presentations (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint) Required Skills & Qualifications Hands-on experience with Microsoft Bot Framework and Copilot Studio Experience with Azure services such as Azure Bot Service, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Language, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Graph, and Semantic Kernel Experience integrating chatbots with Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and third-party APIs Strong knowledge of GenAI prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG architectures Experience with Google Cloud Contact Center AI (CCAI) and chatbot performance dashboards Experience developing GenAI solutions within the AWS ecosystem Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, JavaScript, and Python Experience with M365 (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) Ability to support and modernize SharePoint 2016 On-Prem Strong communication, consultative, and problem-solving skills Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred) 5+ years of IT experience 5+ years of .NET development experience 3+ years of AI development using Microsoft Bot Framework and/or Google CCAI 2+ years of SharePoint experience 1+ year of Power Platform solution development Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $60.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Columbus, OH 43215
