Job Summary:
Serve as a senior business analyst driving data centric solutions for global stakeholders by translating complex business needs into clear ETL, cloud and analytics requirements, leveraging AWS, Python and generative AI to deliver scalable insights, while collaborating in a hybrid work model to improve decision quality, operational efficiency and customer value across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
• Drive structured discovery sessions with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational pain points and data related needs, transforming them into detailed and testable analytical requirements that guide technical implementation and measurable outcomes.
• Create comprehensive requirement documents, user stories and acceptance criteria that clearly describe ETL data flows, AWS processing needs and downstream analytics use cases, ensuring that all parties share a consistent understanding of scope and success measures.
• Collaborate with ETL engineers to define source to target mappings, data quality rules and transformation logic, ensuring that data pipelines are robust, well documented and aligned to business definitions and reporting standards.
• Work closely with cloud teams to shape AWS based data architectures that balance performance, cost and security, specifying data storage patterns, access needs and consumption models that support reliable analytics at scale.
• Partner with Python developers to design and refine reusable analytics components, including data processing scripts and automation tools, so that recurring business questions can be answered quickly and consistently.
• Coordinate with data scientists and generative AI specialists to translate business challenges into practical use cases, defining prompts, guardrails and evaluation metrics that result in safe, relevant and value adding AI solutions for end users.
• Design and maintain detailed process flows, data lineage diagrams and business glossaries that clarify how information moves through ETL layers, AWS services and analytical products, promoting transparency and effective governance.
• Develop and execute user acceptance testing plans that validate data accuracy, performance and usability of analytics solutions, documenting results and driving remediation activities until business expectations are fully met.
• Facilitate workshops and demos that showcase new data and AI capabilities, gathering feedback from diverse user groups and prioritizing enhancements that improve usability, adoption and measurable business impact.
• Monitor production performance indicators for key data products, such as pipeline stability, data freshness and usage trends, and propose targeted improvements that reduce manual effort and enhance reliability for business teams.
• Prepare concise and insightful reports that highlight how ETL, AWS, Python and generative AI solutions contribute to revenue growth, cost optimization and risk reduction, helping stakeholders make informed and timely decisions.
• Advise product owners and managers on sequencing of analytics features and AI experiments, using data driven reasoning to balance short term value delivery with long term platform health and extensibility.
• Ensure that all analysis, documentation and solution proposals comply with company policies on ethics, data privacy and responsible AI, so that the organization creates technology that benefits customers, colleagues and the wider community.
• Qualifications -Showcase professional experience of at least five years as a business analyst or similar role working closely with ETL teams, where responsibilities included documenting transformations, defining data quality checks and validating end to end data flows.
