AI Engineer (Generative AI & MLOps) Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Rate: $60.00 – $70.00 / hour (W2 Only – No C2C) Duration: March 2, 2026 – December 25, 2026 The Opportunity Join a global leader in financial services to build the future of intelligent banking. We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy sophisticated conversational AI solutions and autonomous agents. This isn’t just about prompts; you will be building production-grade AI infrastructure using Azure AI Studio and Databricks. The Technical Stack AI Architecture: Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Bot Service, and Databricks Genie. Agentic Workflows: Designing and managing AI Agents for automation and advanced conversational experiences. Python Mastery: Backend integration using FastAPI, Django, or Flask; building secure REST endpoints and async workers. Data & Models: Hands-on model development in Databricks, leveraging MCP for secure tool/API integration. MLOps: Designing secure pipelines, including model registry security, runtime monitoring, and deployment. Key Responsibilities Develop & Deploy: Utilize VS Code, Databricks, and Azure AI Studio to build and monitor scalable AI models. Agent Development: Build and manage autonomous AI agents for enterprise-level automation. Full-Stack Integration: Integrate AI services into web applications via SDK-based clients and task queues. Security & Compliance: Adhere to strict data privacy standards, ensuring model registry and runtime security. Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune NLP/LLM performance to ensure reliability and accuracy in a financial context. What You Bring Education: BS or MS in Computer Science or a related Engineering field. Expertise: Deep understanding of LLMs, NLP, and machine learning algorithms. Cloud Fluency: Proven experience with Azure AI Services and the Databricks ecosystem. Secure Integration: Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) for standardized API integration. Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or Databricks Certified: Generative AI Engineer.
