Title: NCDOT - AI Enablement Engineer (777355) Location: Raleigh, NC (Local candidates only Triangle region) Duration: 12+ Months Job Type: Contract Position Overview NCDIT-T Web Systems is seeking a hybrid-skilled AI Platform Architect & Enablement Engineer with expertise in Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and AI integration into enterprise applications. This role bridges infrastructure and AI enablement helping development teams embed AI into new and existing applications, while ensuring scalable, secure, and policy-compliant Azure implementations. Candidates should have strong development backgrounds and deep knowledge of AI platform enablement. • Must report onsite on Day 1 to collect equipment. • May require up to 3 days/week onsite at a Triangle-area office. • Local candidates only. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement Copilot Studio and Azure OpenAI solutions for internal and public-facing apps. • Guide development teams on AI integration strategies (prompt engineering, API integration, data flow design). • Architect and scale AI workloads to support high-concurrency, low-latency environments with autoscaling. • Build secure, scalable Azure environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines. • Partner with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure governance, observability, and compliance. • Act as a technical advisor/mentor, promoting responsible and effective AI adoption.
