AI Platform Developer – Sustainability Reporting

This role involves leading the development of an AI-powered sustainability reporting platform MVP, designed to streamline the creation, mapping, and compliance of sustainability disclosures. The platform will enable users to upload disclosures and supporting evidence, leveraging AI to map content to standards such as TSRS 1–2 and IFRS S1–S2, rewrite disclosures for clause-level compliance, and ensure audit-ready traceability. The system will be a secure web application featuring a report creation wizard, evidence uploads with OCR and text extraction, AI-driven clause mapping and rewriting, robust review and approval workflows, export functionality, and advanced role-based access controls. The project will be executed using Agile methodology, with regular sprints, demos, and code reviews, and will require close attention to security, privacy, and compliance throughout. Responsibilities - Architect and develop the MVP using Next.js, NestJS or FastAPI, PostgreSQL with pgvector, and enterprise LLM model APIs - Design and implement secure web application infrastructure and user interfaces - Integrate OCR and text extraction for evidence uploads - Develop AI-powered clause mapping and rewriting features for compliance with sustainability standards - Build detailed review, approval, and export workflows - Implement advanced RBAC for user and admin roles - Prepare architecture documentation, clause maps, admin/user guides, test plans, and DevOps runbook - Ensure all intellectual property remains with the client and maintain robust security and privacy controls - Collaborate in Agile sprints, participate in demos, and conduct code reviews - Plan for future scalability, including multi-tenant SaaS, ERP/DMS integrations, and multilingual support Skills and Requirements - Proven experience in AI/ML development, particularly with LLM integration and NLP applications - Strong proficiency in Next.js, NestJS or FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and API integrations - Experience with OCR, text extraction, and secure web application development - Deep understanding of sustainability reporting standards (TSRS, IFRS) is highly desirable - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices - Ability to produce clear technical documentation and user guides - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to security and compliance - Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based setting About Twine Twine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
