Job OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned and innovative Lead AI & VR Simulation Engineer to drive the development of our next-generation virtual reality and simulation environments. This is a high-level, hands-on role for a technical leader passionate about combining artificial intelligence, immersive VR, and complex simulation to create groundbreaking experiences. You will be responsible for architecting solutions, providing technical leadership, and mentoring a team of developers to deliver cutting-edge products from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Architect and design the technical framework and system architecture for large-scale, immersive VR and simulation projects.
Lead the development and integration of advanced AI models to create intelligent and dynamic virtual agents and realistic avatar behaviors.
Architect and build virtual avatar labs and scenario authoring tools that empower content creators and non-technical users to develop and deploy custom simulations.
Design and implement real-time communication systems for avatars, including ad-hoc conversational experiences using natural language processing.
Define and implement complex simulation algorithms and physics to accurately model real-world environments and interactions.
Mentor and guide a team of software developers, setting technical standards and ensuring best practices are followed.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define the technical roadmap and strategic direction for our VR and simulation platforms.
Write and review high-quality code, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability across all projects.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on AI, VR, or simulation.
Proven track record of architecting and leading the development of complex software systems.
Deep expertise in programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python.
Extensive experience with VR development platforms like Unity or Unreal Engine.
Demonstrated proficiency with AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar technologies.
Experience with conversational AI, natural language processing (NLP), or speech synthesis.
Proven experience in developing tools, authoring environments, or content creation pipelines.
A strong portfolio of past projects in AI, VR, or simulation that showcases your technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
Expert knowledge of simulation principles, physics engines, and real-time networking.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field. (Experience can be used in lieu of education)
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying AI and simulation services.
Published work or contributions to open-source projects in the AI/VR space.
